The 3rd meeting of the Joint Monitoring Committee (JMC) for the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Kosovo – North Macedonia 2021–2027 was held on 27 April 2026 in Prishtina, Kosovo.
The meeting gathered representatives of the participating countries, programme structures, and the EU Office in Kosovo to review progress and discuss key aspects of programme implementation.
The session was officially opened with welcome remarks from Mr. Stefan Vangleski, Chairperson of the Joint Monitoring Committee, Mr. Trim Berisha, Co-Chairperson, and Ms. Merita Mushkolaj, CBC Programme Manager at the EU Office in Kosovo.
During the meeting, the Joint Technical Secretariat and Managing Structures presented an overview of the main activities implemented to date, as well as upcoming actions foreseen under the programme. The discussion also highlighted opportunities for active involvement of JMC members in future activities.
A key point on the agenda was the presentation of the list of projects proposed for funding under the 1st Call for Proposals, along with an update on the funds allocated. The Joint Monitoring Committee members provided their advisory opinion on the proposed projects, contributing to the decision-making process for grant award.
The meeting also addressed the planning of future JMC meetings, including potential dates, topics, and the organization of thematic workshops.
The 3rd JMC meeting reaffirmed the continued commitment of all stakeholders to strengthening cross-border cooperation, promoting regional development, and ensuring the effective implementation of the programme.
