On 16–17 June 2026, beneficiaries of the 1st Call for Proposals under the IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Kosovo – North Macedonia 2021–2027 participated in a two-day practical training on project management and secondary procurement, held in Pristina, Kosovo.
The training brought together representatives of the funded operations to strengthen their capacities for the effective implementation of EU-funded projects. Participants received practical guidance on key aspects of project management, including contractual obligations, financial management, internal monitoring, and communication with programme management structures. They also explored procurement procedures under CBC grant contracts and the application of PRAG rules.
A dedicated part of the programme focused on analysing procurement plans for each operation funded under the first call and on practical group exercises involving procurement templates for works, supplies, and services. Participants also discussed common challenges and risks, shared experiences, and reviewed concrete examples of good practices and lessons learned.
The training provided an important opportunity for beneficiaries to enhance their knowledge and ensure sound project implementation, contributing to the successful delivery and long-term impact of cross-border cooperation initiatives between Kosovo and North Macedonia.
IPA III Cross-Border Cooperation Programme Kosovo – North Macedonia 2021–2027 continues to support joint actions that foster sustainable development, stronger partnerships, and closer cooperation between communities on both sides of the border.
